The 2011/12 Individual Tax Returns have been issued in May. Taxpayers are required to file duly completed Tax Returns to the Hong Kong IRD within 1 month (deadline: 2 Jun 2012). An automatic extension of 1 month is allowed to all e-filers filing their Tax Returns online (deadline: 3 Jul 2012).

Many people might think that income from speculating on iPhone, BOCHK Commemorative Banknote, etc. is not taxable. However, it is not correct. Indeed, this kind of income has to be declared to the IRD.
