HK has again been named the world’s freest economy, a position HK has held since the Index of Economic Freedom began 18 years ago. Economies are ranked based on 10 measures such as rule of law, how open their markets are.
Despite of China’s booming economy, it is ranked 30th of 41 in Asia, and its score is lower than the global averages. It reflects that HK is an important stepping stone to enter into China because of its free-market system. Many people indeed pick HK as their ideal place to start up business.
